| | | | Wow, our research is back, the numbers are in, and what a lovely bunch of community minded, friendly people you are.
Together, we have made this year's Big Lunch one of the biggest ever, with 216,000 events across the UK and an amazing 9 million people gathered online, on their doorsteps or for safely distanced street parties to celebrate their communities and get to know their neighbours a little better.
And it's not just about having fun on the day, the research shows that The Big Lunch makes a lasting difference to people and communities all over the UK.
Big Lunches bring people from different backgrounds together, help people feel they belong more in their community, and even support local charities and causes, with a whopping £7.4m raised this year alone.
A huge thank you to everyone who got involved this year, whether you nipped along for some nibbles, or organised an array of activities for your neighbourhood, we couldn't do it without you.

She credits coming along to a Community Camp for helping get things going: “Attending camp was so inspiring! It gave me confidence and strengthened my resolve to start this project.”
