| | We’d like to say a huge welcome to all those who have recently joined us, and thank you so much for your support.
This year has been challenging for us all, but there has been a wave of community spirit across the UK. People are turning strangers into friends, lending a helping hand, and coming up with creative ways to brighten our neighbourhoods.
This summer, let’s hold on to that lovely sense of community spirit. There are lots of simple and fun things we can do where we live to Make Our Own Sunshine.
Here are some ideas to start you off, and you can share your own with us on our Facebook group.
| | If you want to bring your community together but don’t know where to start – get your hands on one of our free community kits, with seeds to help you grow connections, tea to share a cuppa with a neighbour and plenty of our favourite ideas to bring people together. Simply send us an email telling us what you’d like to do in your community, but get in quick, we only have 20 to give away.
| | Un-Bee-Lieveably Easy Bee Hotel
| | National Allotments Week is coming up so here's a simple way to help improve your neighbourhood’s biodiversity: a bee hotel! A small bee hotel can provide a refuge for the nation’s favourite insect which needs a little help at the moment, so bring your community together, and help the planet, by creating a local Bee Hotel.
| | Join us at Community Camp!
| | If you’re interested in community action but haven’t got started yet, or you’ve just dipped a toe in and want to do more, then our next Community Camp is just for you. This Camp is tailored to help inspire and support anyone new to community activity as you start on your journey. Applications are now open so have a look and take that first step with us.
