Treat yourself like you would a friend
Eden Project Communities
Take a break and look after you
2021 hasn’t started exactly how we would have liked in terms of the lockdown restrictions but with the vaccine there is a little light at the end of the tunnel. Although there is hope on the horizon, this lockdown is tough on everyone so we’re encouraging lots of self-care and urge you to be kind to yourself.

Take some time out of your day, even if it’s for just five minutes, to do something for you. Stepping outdoors, relaxing in the tub, getting creative or taking time to meditate - whatever floats your boat, weave it into your daily routine.

Speaking of the outdoors, a breath of fresh air can do wonders. Being in nature can not only boost your mood and motivation, but can provide us connection, balance and grounding. Just what we need right now! If you’ve exhausted Netflix and are struggling for lockdown activities, we’ve included a variety of ideas below to keep you busy.

We also encourage you to keep looking out for people in your community who are vulnerable, shielding or living on their own. It's so important to stay connected, not just with friends and family but your neighbours too.

We need to support each other, and we will get through this difficult time more easily if we do it together! To support you, we’ve created a set of virtual e-cards that anyone can use to reach out to someone, which you can download and share, here.

Thinking of you all,

The Eden Project Communities team
